Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Chef, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £15.50 - £20.25 per hour
Summary:
The Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering nutritious, balanced meals to adults with a wide range of support needs including dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and complex physical health requirements.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals in line with dietary requirements and service standards.
Ensure meals are delivered on time, meet portion control standards, and are attractively presented.
Develop light meals, snacks, and refreshments suitable for service users.
Prepare specialised meals (e.g., soft diets, diabetic, allergy-specific, cultural, fortified diets) following dietary guidance.
Liaise with staff to ensure meals align with individual care and support plans.
Order food supplies within budget, monitor stock levels, and minimise waste.
Essentials:
Relevant experience in a catering, kitchen, or food preparation role.
Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above preferred).
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Ability to cater for diverse dietary and cultural needs.
Good organisational and time management skills.
