We are currently seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a leading automotive service centre in Pontypridd. Our client, part of one of the UK's largest tyre and fast-fit centre groups, is offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled MOT Tester to contribute to their busy workshop. The appointment of a dedicated MOT Tester is pivotal in ensuring vehicle safety standards are maintained while fostering positive customer relationships.

Duties for the MOT Tester position:

- Perform all aspects of MOT testing in adherence to government standards
- Ensure vehicles are tested efficiently and accurately, maintaining safety compliance
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding testing progress, results, and necessary repairs
- Support customers with advice on vehicle repairs and service requirements
- Diagnose and carry out associated repair and service work when required
- Assist with workshop operations, maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction

Requirements:

- Active Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing licences
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Qualifications such as IMI/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair are desirable, but experienced vehicle mechanics with an active MOT licence will also be considered
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high safety standards
- Flexibility to support workshop duties beyond testing as required
