Please note this is an as and when position Working hours: 0 hours per week (cover as and when needed)Interview Date: To be confirmedAdditional Salary information:10% night works allowance awarded Springfield House is a residential Lifehouse accommodating 16 homeless vulnerable families (aged 16-24 years old) in self contained flats with support on site 24 hours.Key Responsibilities:As a motivated and dynamic Relief Night Assistant Support Worker you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. You will address clients’ support needs, enable them to make positive life choices, and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles.During your shifts you will be ensuring the safeguarding of the young parents and their children by following clear guidance, and you will take responsibility for this (calling on social care and the duty manager as required).Your duties may also include general housekeeping, assisting staff to prepare void flats in a timely fashion, as well as administration tasks and reception duties.As a Relief Night Assistant Support Worker you will be lone-working 12.5 hour shifts.The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:Proactive and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to build positive working relationships with vulnerable service users whilst maintaining strict professional boundariesSound knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and childrenMotivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve positive life outcomesWillingness to work within the team, with a hands-on approach wherever neededExcellent planning, organisational, and time management skillsPatience and understanding for the client group.In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (DBS: a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure check of the Child and Adult workforce and Enhanced DBS with Barred List check of the Child and Adult Workforce, Health Assessment and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
