Summary

Temporary, until 31st December 2026, with possibility to become permanentA vacancy has arisen in our busy and integral administration team. Working as a valued member of support staff at Croesyceiliog, this role is pivotal to the smooth running of our school, and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
Based in our large administration office and reception area, the School Support Officer is the first point of contact for visitors to the school. It is therefore essential that the person appointed to this post is customer focused, friendly and welcoming, able to multitask, has the ability to work flexibly and has a “can do approach” to work.
They will have the ability to deal with a wide range of people, work calmly under pressure and thrive in a busy working environment.
Our School Support Officers are required to complete various administrative tasks and therefore require a good level of oral and written communication skills along with good IT skills.
The successful candidate will be resilient, approachable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team in addition to using their own initiative. The ability to form and maintain effective working relationships is essential.
Many of our front of house staff are first aid trained, we would ask the successful candidate whether they would be prepared to take on some first aid responsibilities as part of their role.
Our administration team are also required to work in the print room at times, this not only provides a vital service but is also gives our staff chance to vary parts of their working pattern and add to their skills.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy administrative environment, and may have experience of working in a school environment.
