Activities Coordinator
£26,403 – £28,598 per annum pro rata

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Activities Coordinator to provide a high quality range of activities to support a diverse group of residents living in Home Office provided accommodation.
This is a rewarding frontline role where you will work directly with a wide range of people, offering a range of activities and enrichment opportunities to improve wellbeing, gain new skills and promote confidence. The successful candidate will assist the service users in accessing voluntary placements, engaging in volunteer opportunities to aid integration and be able to signpost them to relevant support services.
You will work closely with internal teams, voluntary organisations and community partners to ensure positive outcomes for residents while contributing to the council’s wider approach to equality, diversity and vulnerability.
As an activities co-ordinator, you will:
• Provide tailored group activity sessions to residents ranging from sports and crafts or cookery to volunteering in the community
• Engage with the residents to gain their input into what activities should be delivered
• Arrange and deliver activities coordinating with community groups and 3rd Sector organisations to integrate with the wider community
• Support residents in finding voluntary placements in partnership
• Signpost residents to appropriate health, support and wellbeing services
• Collect feedback, maintain accurate data, monitor outcomes, and contribute to reports evidencing programme impact
• Attend community events, council meetings and multi agency forums as required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, GDPR, equality and diversity, and risk management requirements
• Have experience in arranging events or activities
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience of partnership working
• Has experience working with people from under represented or vulnerable groups
• Communicates effectively and confidently with a wide range of people
• Is organised, empathetic, and resilient
• Can work independently as well as part of a supportive team
• Is confident using Microsoft Office and managing data and reports
You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate relevant experience. A second language is desirable but not essential.
