Summary

Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder A 53-year-old Female, lives with her Husband and small dog.
B speaks Polish, Italian and limited English.
B lives with both mental and physical health challenges, which causing B physical pain and limited mobility and a disturbed sleep pattern.
Hours and rate of pay hours Hourly rate £21.00 per hour.
13 Hours per week, delivered as 1 hour daily visits between 11am – 2pm ideally and the other 6 hours per week to be used flexibly.
Location Soham, CB7 area
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would be doing… Supporting B with personal tasks, including showering, dressing, and prompting to take medication. Assisting with lunch preparation, light household tasks, correspondence, and communication with others/services. The role also involves helping B to access the community.
Required skills and experience Someone who speaks either Polish or Italian and also has a good command of the English language.
Due to support with personal tasks, B would ideally prefer the applicant to be female.
Some knowledge and experience of working with people with mental and physical disabilities and low mobility.
Someone who is honest, reliable, and trustworthy, with a great personality and sense of humour.
A driving licence and access to their own car is desirable but not essential.
