Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, experienced physiotherapist to fulfil the role of Clinical Lead Physiotherapist within the Integrated Community Therapy and Rehabilitation Service - North Lancs.
This is a permanent contract. Working alongside the existing Clinical Lead Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy posts, this role will include operational leadership and management responsibilities, to support the large community therapy team over a range of therapy pathways - for urgent response 'Home Assessment for next day D/C', up to 3 day to 10 week community therapy response, including delivering falls prevention, addressing complex Continuing Health Care needs and responding to resident needs in nursing care home beds. This will also include supporting leadership to deliver service transformation and improvements.
The post is temporarily based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, central Lancaster, while awaiting further information regarding a permanent team base. The post holder will manage a caseload of complex community patients and have links with other local hospital andcommunity-basedservices working across primary, secondary, community and local authority, adult social care. Experience of highly effective multi-disciplinary team working is an essential leadership requirement of this role.
The post holder will support the training and development of therapy colleagues in the team.
The post holder, working alongside other Clinical Lead Therapy colleagues, will be responsible for managing the deployment and supervision of an integrated therapy team within a defined clinical area/geographical community.
This will support daily delivery of services, including development of the service, management of waiting lists, managing issues relating to HR, colleague absence, completing appraisals, probation reports, risk assessments, performance, management of the E-Roster, incident reports and compliance with Care Quality Commission Standards.
Working under the direction of the Clinical Team Leaders and with colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a coordinated, multidisciplinary and multi-agency service. This includes planning, delivering, evaluating and development of the services for which they are responsible.
Be responsible and accountable for providing therapy assessment and treatment to patients with diverse health needs, who may have complex and / or chronic conditions, in a variety of community settings.

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
