Summary
FIRAS Joiners required for an immediate start in Stockport
Working for one of the UK's largest and most reputable main contractors.
Usual site working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain fire doors and associated components
- Ensure all work complies with FIRAS and relevant fire safety regulations
- Conduct fire door inspections and complete detailed reports
- Accurately fit door frames, intumescent strips, seals, hinges, and closers
- Work from technical drawings and specifications
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients professionally
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed on-site
Requirements:
- Valid FIRAS certification (essential)
- Proven experience as a fire door joiner or carpenter
- Strong knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Own tools
- CSCS card
