We're looking for a Management Accountant who will support high‑quality reporting and financial performance within our Water Division — our largest and most complex business area.
Role Responsibilities:
-Prepare and post prepayments, accruals, depreciation and amortisation, and take full ownership of allocated entities' monthly management accounts and reporting pack submissions.
-Review P&L activity performed by others, seeking justification for variances, and provide detailed Excel analysis as required.
-Maintain balance sheet working files throughout the month‑end cycle and deliver accurate Divisional and Group reporting and analysis.
-Complete Risks and Opportunities reporting for BLFC sign‑off, produce balance sheet control files with supporting documentation, and submit commentary highlighting areas of concern and recommended solutions.
-Prepare financial year‑end audit packs, liaise with auditors, support statutory reporting processes, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of reporting quality and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
-Previous involvement in management accounts preparation.
-Demonstrable experience of transforming large‑volume data sets into meaningful, workable information.
-Ability to thrive within a matrix organisation and finance structure.
-Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
