Role description
The Scale up Centre Team Leader is responsible for the smooth operating of our scale up centre where we run pilot runs for our customers. Ensuring the products are manufactured to specification, on time and in full

Hours:
Monday to Friday 08.30am to 5pm
25 paid holidays + Bank Holidays

Responsibilities
Customer
Customer communication for all pilot runs to be accurate and timely
Liaise with Business Development Manager on all requirements for pilot runs
Supplier Management
Ingredient sourcing from accredited suppliers, wherever possible*, to BRC / ISO / ILS / FDA standards / approval (Novel ingredients must be discussed and a way of working agreed)
Ensure stocks of all materials for the smooth operation of the business are maintained and checked
Manufacturing
Ensure recipes are followed, documentation completed and raw materials are checked
Cleaning of Equipment to maintain hygienic and safe products
Equipment to be kept in working order and advise of any faults or further requirements
Operate filling line to include blending of materials, carbonation, filling, pasteurisation and packing
Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements at all times
Centre Management
Clean as you go, restoring the development centre to a ‘show room standard’ each day
Escalate when issues occur in a timely way to the Head of Development
Requirements
Must have’s (Use to screen CVs)
The right to work in the UK
Clean driver’s licence
Confident in MS Office
2 years Food or drink experience
A proactive self-starter
Methodical and organised, someone who can stick to deadlines, and follow procedure autonomously
A team player who can influence without relying on job titles
Experience gained in beverages
Someone with the appetite and potential to be a manager of the present or larger team
Basic food Hygiene Certificate
