Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sessional Lecturer in HE Engineering to join our team at East Midland Institute of Technology in Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College.
We are looking for an individual to teach variety Level 4, 5 and 6 Engineering modules across the department to part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students.
You will have experience in a relevant vocational industry setting or academic background and be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students through the use of varied teaching and learning strategies.
Responsibilities of this role include;
To use industry experience and expertise to contextualise learning and develop students’ understanding of electrical engineering and power networks
To play a key role in quality assurance and quality improvement processes – full training will be provided
To deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences
What we are looking for;
Possess a relevant engineering degree or master in engineering
A willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
Willingness to travel to other work locations as often as required
Experience in a relevant vocational industry setting (power industry transmission/distribution, high current/voltage applications or operating related equipment)
