Summary
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef / Lead Cook to take charge of our busy kitchen. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards, and creating delicious, seasonal dishes that keep our customers coming back.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment
Plan and develop menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
Control costs while maximising efficiency and minimising waste
Train, motivate, and support kitchen staff
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or experienced Cook
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure in a busy café environment
Passion for fresh food and menu development
Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen compliance
Flexible and reliable, with availability to work weekends
