Duties as SEND Teacher:

As a SEND Teacher, your day-to-day is about more than just lesson plans; it’s about creating an environment where every student feels seen and supported.

• Differentiate with Purpose: Deliver engaging lessons tailored to specific SEND requirements.
• Personalise Learning: Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and bespoke learning strategies.
• Manage with Empathy: Use proven de-escalation and positive behavioural techniques to maintain a calm, inclusive classroom.
• Collaborate: Work closely with TAs, therapists, and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support.
• Track Growth: Assess pupil progress and provide vital feedback during review meetings.

Ideal SEND Teacher:

• Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Experience: Proven track record supporting pupils with diverse SEND needs.
• Expertise: Deep understanding of inclusive pedagogy and SEND strategies.
• Soft Skills: High levels of resilience, patience, and a "can-do" attitude.
• Commitment: A rock-solid dedication to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
