Doncaster Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are seeking a committed Assistant Psychologist (Band 4) to work across our Getting Help and Getting Advice pathways.

The post holder will support and enhance the professional care of children and young people (CYP) accessing our service, contributing to psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of our qualified Clinical Psychologist and within the framework of team policies and procedures. This role will involve supporting clinically related administration, contributing to audits, collecting service data, and assisting with research, training and service development projects.

As an Assistant Psychologist you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will receive regular supervision from qualified Clinical Psychologists.



TheAssistantPsychologistwillworkwithintheCAMHSteamacrosstheGettingAdviceandGettingHelppathways,supportingtheassessmentandcareofchildrenandyoungpeople (CYP)underthesupervisionofaqualifiedClinicalPsychologist.

The roleinvolvesassistingwithpsychologicalassessmentsandpsychometrictesting (e.g.ADOS,WISC-V,ABAS),contributingtoformulationandproducingprofessionalandCYP-friendlyreports.ThepostholderwillcommunicatesensitivelywithCYP,familiesandprofessionals,providepsychoeducationandsupportsessions,maintainaccurateclinicalrecords,andcontributetomultidisciplinaryandmulti-agencyworking.

The rolealsoincludessupportingpathwaymeetings,contributingtotrainingandconsultationwithschoolsandpartneragencies,participatinginregularclinicalsupervisionandprofessionaldevelopment,andassistingwithserviceevaluation,auditandresearchactivitieswithintheCAMHSservice.

The post holder will hold an upper second-class honours (or higher) undergraduate degree in Psychology and entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
