We are delighted to be recruiting for a Registered Manager to lead a brand-new Ofsted-regulated Children’s Home in Palmers Green. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape a service from the ground up — building a positive culture, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and ensuring the highest standards of care for young people.

If you are passionate about making a genuine difference and want the autonomy to develop a new service your way, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for launching, developing, and managing a children’s residential home that provides stability, safety, and high-quality support for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Leadership
Oversee the daily running of the home, ensuring it provides a warm, supportive, and structured environment.
Ofsted Compliance
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards, including preparation for inspections and maintaining outstanding levels of care.
Team Building & People Development
Recruit, train, and lead a dedicated staff team, promoting a culture of openness, resilience, and trauma-informed practice.
Care Planning & Safeguarding
Ensure that all children and young people receive personalised, needs-led support with robust safeguarding practices.
Partnership Working
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to drive improvement and achieve excellent outcomes for young people.
Financial & Operational Management
Manage budgets, resources, and rota planning effectively.

Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential home (essential).
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and legislative requirements.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.

What’s on Offer:

Competitive salary of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
Attractive bonus structure, including referral bonuses
Casual dress policy
Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
Annual leave that increases with each year of service
Access to well-being support
Career progression in a growing, forward-thinking organisation
On-site parking
The rare opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new children’s home
