Summary
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking gully wagon driver / drainage engineer to join a well-established drainage and wastewater contractor. This is a varied, hands-on role supporting drainage operations across Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with drainage, gully cleaning, and groundwork
• Supporting operational teams on-site
• Driving company vehicles to and from job locations
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
• Carrying out manual and physical tasks as required
Requirements
• Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence (essential)
• Willingness to undertake manual labour and outdoor work
• Good work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Some experience in Drain Jetting and Groundwork is advantageous but not essential
• Locally based is preferable as some early starts and late finishes are required
• Must be willing to undergo a DBS check
Desirable (Not Essential)
• Experience in drainage, construction, or highways work
• Any of the following certifications:
o Confined Spaces
o Manual Handling
o Asbestos Awareness
o Working at Height
o High Pressure Water Jetting
o Traffic Management (Chapter 8 / 12D)
