Summary
Feel Good Suffolk is an exciting partnership across Suffolk with the aim of empowering clients to take control of their health and wellbeing with lifestyle and behaviour changes. As the Feel Good Suffolk Area Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of effective and efficient behaviour change services in Mid Suffolk and Babergh. These services cover three key thematic areas of health behaviours: physical activity, healthy weight and smoking cessation.
As an Advisor you will be required to triage and undertake ‘what matters to you’ client-centred assessments, build individualised support packages, refer clients to appropriate services and support, and deliver 1 to 1 and group health-based interventions. You will support and empower the client to use their skills and networks to overcome barriers and make positive changes to improve their health and wellbeing. You’ll be based across Hadleigh and Sudbury areas providing support to adults by telephone, video call and face to face in local community venues on a one-to-one and group basis.
20 hours per week

What you will need:
The post holder will have a strong understanding of health behaviours and experience of working with people to make positive changes to their lifestyle. The candidate will have experience of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds with differing levels of needs and balancing casework.
The candidate will be organised and able to work under pressure to tight timescales over a period of time and be a strong communicator with proven active listening skills.
Individuals with smoking cessation backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
An NCSCT Smoking cessation (Level 1 or 2), Health or Community related Qualification, Health Coaching Qualification
Driving Licence
