Summary
Job Title : Kitchen Assistant

• Salary Range : £12.75 to £14.75 per hour
• Number of vacant positions : 2
• About the post : We are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, supporting chefs, and helping to keep the kitchen running smoothly. You will play an essential part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food preparation.
Key Responsibilities and duties :
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using both manual and automated methods.
• Ensure all food items are stored correctly and rotated following food safety guidelines.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Dispose of waste safely and keep the kitchen tidy and organised.
• Assist with deliveries, including checking stock and storing items appropriately.
• Follow all food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety procedures.
• Relevant Experience : 1 year
