Summary

A Vacancy at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality paediatric nursing care by joining a growing and forward-thinking team?

We have the best opportunity for you to join our Emergency Department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.

Located in a historic Cambridgeshire city, Peterborough City Hospital is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility accommodating over 700 inpatient beds on modern wards. Peterborough is accessible by road or train within easy commute distance from London, Cambridge, Leicester or Birmingham.

You will be a Registered Nurse (Child)/RSCN with a minimum of 6 months post registration experience.

You will embrace new ideas and innovative ways of working whilst providing high quality care. You will have opportunities to care for children from initial assessment through to minors, majors, and the resuscitation area.

We have an excellent competency and development programme, and you will be supported and guided by our Paediatric Sister and Clinical Educators.

Flexibility is the key to a happy team who will be able provide better patient care. All our roles are offered fulltime and/or part-time with cross-site services.

We are undergoing some major changes such as relocating the Urgent Treatment Centre into the Emergency Centre footprint. This unit will run alongside our existing ED and, as a band 5, you will have the chance to rotate through this area and gain minor injury experience.

The opportunities we offer include:

· Protected Supernumerary period

· Band 5 orientation / competency booklet

· Self-Rostering / Flexible working policy

· Mindfulness and wellbeing at work

· Opportunities to be involved in quality improvement / change management

· Opportunities for further study - Leadership courses / TNCC / HMIMMS/ CBRN / ATLS observer courses as well as lots of in-house teaching opportunities you can access at all levels

· Career progression opportunities

If you are dynamic, passionate, and proactive, looking for a new challenge and want to be part of a developing team then we would be pleased to hear from you.

We are committed to supporting colleagues through organisational change. Priority will be given to staff at risk within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board.

Please see the attached job description which gives full details of the role. Alternatively call to arrange an informal visit to meet the team.
