Summary
We are currently looking for an Electronic Component Inspection Technician to join our team based in Suffolk. You’ll join our small, friendly team who specialise in sourcing quality, hard-to-find and obsolete electronic components.
As an Electronic Component Inspection Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining quality assurance and supply chain integrity. The successful candidate will have strong visual inspection skills to ensure strict product compliance, and a keen interest in the electronic component industry.
You must be able to identify product faults and counterfeits at component-level whilst producing concise, detailed reports of tests and product data, supporting the team with product traceability, documentation, audit checks, and other quality protocols.
This is a hands-on, high-precision role verifying and testing the validity and performance of components for a range of industries including engineering, manufacturing, and commercial, and high-grade environments like automotive and aerospace, so attention to detail is crucial.
On-site training will be given, to IDEA STD1010.
This is a full-time, office-based role, working 5 days a week, Monday-Friday 09:00 – 17:00. Starting salary from £15 p/h.
Key Requirements of the Role:
Testing & Inspection: Conducting counterfeit checks, visual inspections, and component-level fault finding.
Quality Control: Verifying electronic components meet strict quality and performance standards.
Documentation: Recording test results, maintaining accurate, detailed reports, and tracking failure data.
Technical Support: Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and within date.
Skills:
The successful individual will need to be team-orientated and have excellent communication skills. They must be organised, proactive, and comfortable working to deadlines to ensure deliveries are on time and orders are processed to meet customer demand.
You will need to be able to successfully identify faults at component-level and perform counterfeit checks and visual inspections, promptly reporting issues and counterfeits to ensure products are meeting our strict quality and performance standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in electronic components and manufacturing who is eager to learn and utilise their skills in this role. On-site training will be provided.
