About the Role

We are looking for a confident and highly capable Administrator to join one of the council’s most high-priority service areas. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the effective delivery of the Crisis & Resilience Fund, which provides essential assistance to vulnerable Island residents experiencing sudden financial hardship.

You will assist with applications received from community organisations, charities etc. maintain accurate records, process data and ensure that support is delivered promptly and sensitively. The work is fast-paced and often reactive, requiring good judgement, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with care.

This is a varied and rewarding role, where no two days are the same. You will work closely with colleagues across the council and with external partners, contributing to a service that makes a real and immediate difference to people’s lives.

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for someone who:

Strong admin and organisation skills in an office environment are essential.
Is good with numbers and comfortable working with data
Can communicate clearly, both in writing and speaking
Can work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Can work independently and take initiative
Experience with government grants is helpful but not essential.
