Summary
Looking for two caring, reliable and motivated Childminding Assistants to join our friendly home-based childcare setting in Canterbury, Kent.
We particularly welcome applications from local candidates who are able to travel easily to the setting.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for working with children, whether you are starting your childcare career, returning to work, or looking to gain further experience.
You will support the delivery of a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and thrive.
Main duties include:
Assisting with the care and supervision of children
Supporting play-based learning and creative activities
Helping to provide a fun, safe and welcoming environment
Supporting daily routines including meals, snacks and hygiene
Ensuring high standards of care at all times
Supporting children’s emotional, social and developmental needs
Working closely with the childminder to follow routines and activities.
What we are looking for:
A genuine passion for working with children
Caring, patient and responsible nature
Motivated and positive attitude
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a small team
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare is desirable but not essential
Previous childcare experience is helpful but not essential
Additional information:
2 part-time positions available
Training and support provided
Opportunity to gain experience and develop within childcare
Salary: National Minimum Wage or above (depending on experience)
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Ofsted suitability checks, including completion of a health declaration form (which will require GP confirmation).
