Summary
Please note this is not a Swansea city council job. You will be working with a private client who received direct payments.
A little about myself:
I am a 6-year-old bright boy, I am active and curious, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Global Developmental Delay (GDD). I can present with behavioural challenges, including aggression and sensory sensitivities, with a need to take part in sensory-seeking activities that may be difficult to manage. I require a lot of supervision, and I have a history of running, climbing, and physically lashing out when dysregulated.
Driver required to take me out.

Evening and/ or weekends. To be worked out with family.
Rate of pay.
£13.50
Essential:
I need you to be:
• Confident, mature, reliable, quiet and patient
• Friendly, calm and easy going
• Firm and consistent and able to set clear boundaries
• Able to deal with difficult behaviours safely when they pop up
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You were first aid trained
• You have previous experience.
• You can supervise me constantly when I am out and about.
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take me out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
