Home Care Assistant
We are seeking caring and dependable individuals to support children and adults to live independently at home and in their local community.
Position: Home Care Assistant
Salary: £13.00 to £16.00 per hour
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: Ongoing
About the role
As a Home Care Assistant, you will provide high quality, person centred care to individuals in their own homes and within the community, supporting both adults and children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily routines
- Assisting with medication where required
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
- Helping with light household duties
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting individuals to access the community
You will be required to work alternate weekends, with rotas provided in advance.
About you
We welcome applications from both experienced carers and those new to care, as full training is provided.
You will:
- Be compassionate, patient and empathetic
- Have strong communication skills
- Be reliable and flexible in your approach
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Have access to your own vehicle with business insurance
- Have the right to work in the UK
