About the Team
The Work Health Hub is an integral industry engagement programme within the University’s business portfolio. The aim of the Hub is to work with organisations of any size and sector to empower and support everyone within the workplace, to create a culture that invests in human sustainability.
Through our preventative and proactive approach, we aim to challenge stigma, promote early intervention, and advocate for psychologically safe working environments, where people can thrive. The Hub sits within the College of Health and Humanities, providing strong links with academic colleagues and networks to explore additional funding and expand research and consultancy activity in the field.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two new posts to join the brilliant Work Health Hub and play a pivotal role in the University's industry engagement portfolio.
The main purpose of the role is to support the development of professional skills, practical technical, vocational, and associated learning for employers, and where necessary, students on placement, to support their bespoke organisational action plan both in-person and online. The post holder will support the Work Health Hub Manager achieve the project aims and outputs and the development and delivery of online and face-to-face events, campaigns, and marketing activity, to ensure the success of the Work Health Hub.
Key responsibilities include:
To plan and deliver professional, practical, technical, vocational and associated theoretical learning activities for employers, stakeholders or students, through online and face-to-face events, campaigns, and marketing activity, to ensure the success of the Work Health Hub.
To support the Project Manager to identify and disseminate new business opportunities; Research, Consultancy, Learning & Development, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) as part of the business engagement process.
Support relationships with employers, enabling them to achieve all elements of engagement set out in their action plan
Provide specific learning support and coaching to employers and students on placement, as required and ensure that employer engagement/learning support records are kept up to date.
To support facilitation of bespoke workshops for businesses, supporting the wellbeing of their workforce.
Please note that this is a part time role; working 30 hours per week which is equivalent to 4 days per week (3 days on site, 1 day working remotely). Exact working pattern will be discussed with the successful candidate.
The anticipated interview date is 30th April 2026.
About You
Our ideal candidate will hold an Honours Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Mental Health Nursing), or equivalent qualification/professional experience and demonstrate a good understanding of the impact that poor physical and mental health can have on individuals in the workplace.
They will have excellent communication skills and are able to adapt their communication style to suit different audiences across the business sector. The candidate should have experience delivering workshops and presentations to a wide audience, and experience of promoting key initiatives and networking to maximise engagement. The candidate should have an appropriate level of digital capability and aptitude with practical experience of applications which aid promotion of the Hub and design of new evidence-based content and initiatives for businesses that engage with the Hub, focusing on Human Sustainability as a priority.
An understanding of the UK's Workplace Health and Wellbeing Agenda and Get Britain Working White Paper is desirable.
