Summary
Purpose of the job:
Responsible for supervising children during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment while promoting good behaviour and healthy eating habits.
Duties include cleaning and maintaining equipment and resources to a high standard of hygiene, as well as assisting with tidying and packing away of the setting at the end of each day.
Works collaboratively as part of the pre-school team, following the direction of the pre-school leader to support the smooth day-to-day running of the setting.
Main Duties:
1) To arrive punctually each day.
2) To develop positive relationships with children, parents/carers, colleagues & outside agencies.
3) To have a positive, ‘can do’ attitude in all aspects of your job.
4) To remain focused and on task during the session.
5) To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff.
6) To advise the manager/deputy of any concerns e.g. over children, child protection, parents/carers, staff or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
7) To supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment while promoting good behaviour and healthy eating habits and ensuring dietary requirements are met
8) To clean away after lunch has finished
9) To clean and maintain equipment and resources to a high standard of hygiene, as well as assisting with tidying and packing away of the setting at the end of each day
10) To attend staff meetings and in-service training courses when required
Hours/days of work
11:30am until 3pm, Monday - Friday, during term time only
This is initially being offered as a fixed term contract, starting ASAP until July 2027.
