Summary
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Manager to join the Therapy and Enabling, Short Break and Emergency Care Service.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable to the Community Operational Lead for the overall leadership, management, and development of the Therapy & Enabling Service and the Short-Break Service for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
The Therapy & Enabling Service operates during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, and works as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to deliver person-centred therapeutic assessment, intervention, and enabling support.
The Manager will ensure high-quality service delivery, promote best practice, and contribute to ongoing service development and evaluation within Health and Social Care (HSC).
The Short-Break Service provides 24-hour support, 7 days a week, to adults with learning disabilities, offering flexible respite and support to service users and their families/carers.
Respite is delivered across three self-contained flats within Le Grand Courtil, and, where required, holiday placements (on or off island).
The Manager will ensure safe, responsive, and person-centred care that reflects the diverse and often complex needs of individuals accessing the service.
