Summary

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference? Join our dedicated Supported Living team in Tonypandy as a Waking Night Support Worker. You will support six incredible adults with sensory loss and learning disabilities to live safely and happily in their own homes.

This is a permanent role with contracts available for up to 37.5 hours per week, offering £12.50 per hour with overtime opportunities and annual pay reviews.

Our service runs Monday–Sunday, and shifts are generally a mixture of 7am–2:30pm, 2:30pm–10pm, and 10pm–7am. Flexibility is essential, and you may occasionally be required to pick up night shifts.

Your Impact
This is an active and rewarding role where you will support individuals both at home and in the community, whether that is a trip to the cinema, a game of bowling, or a walk in the park. Your support ensures those we support live life to the full and includes:

Life Skills: Assisting with household tasks like cooking and cleaning.
Independence: Helping with finances, attending appointments, and shopping trips.
Socialising: Empowering residents to stay connected with their community on their own terms.

What you’ll need (Essentials):

A Positive Outlook: A "can-do" attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.
Communication Skills: You are a great listener and a clear communicator.
Flexibility: Availability to work varied shifts across the week, including weekends.
Commitment: A willingness to attend training and a valid Right to Work in the UK.
Skills that would be an asset (Desirable):

Previous experience in care or support work.
A full UK driving licence.
British Sign Language (BSL) skills.
Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments or learning difficulties.
