The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming nursery setting in Derby (DE65), where learning and laughter go hand in hand. The setting prides itself on being more than just childcare - it's a supportive community that truly cares. We are currently recruiting a Nursery Practitioner to support across multiple rooms, working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, due to planned staff absences and a live permanent vacancy within the setting.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on 8-hour rolling early and late shifts. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and early years education, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all children.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children aged 6 weeks to 5 years across different nursery rooms
- Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for all children
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain consistent routines and care standards
- Observe, support, and record children's progress where required
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are always followed

Who We're Looking For:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years (not essential)
- Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Confident supporting children across multiple age ranges
- A caring, reliable, and adaptable approach
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the nursery

Compliance & Vetting Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Two references from the two most recent employers
- Evidence of relevant qualifications
- Right to Work documentation
