About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative Year 5/6 Teacher to join a warm, supportive primary school in the BS15 area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping pupils progress academically, socially and emotionally during their final years of primary education.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Year 5/6 Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end‑of‑Key‑Stage expectations, fostering confidence and independence
- Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities, including higher‑attaining pupils and those with additional needs
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every child feels safe, valued and motivated
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Track progress effectively and use assessment to inform planning
- Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies, themed weeks and enrichment activities
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who has:
- Fully Qualified Teacher Status (FQT)
- A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements
- Creativity, enthusiasm and the ability to inspire learners
- Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills
- A nurturing approach, with resilience and high expectations for every child
- The ability to build rapport quickly and work collaboratively with the school team
- A reflective mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development
