Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.I am looking for a Personal Assistant to support me in maintaining my home environment. I have physical health conditions that affect my mobility and cause pain and fatigue, so I require practical help around the home.
Your duties will include assisting with meal preparation, helping with parenting tasks that require the use of stairs, and supporting me to ensure the home is safe and manageable for myself and my daughters. Tasks include carrying laundry and bed linen up and down the stairs, bringing food shopping into the home due to front steps at the property, and changing bed linen on three beds.
I can become easily overwhelmed, so I need someone who can motivate me and break tasks down into manageable steps. Both of my children have autism and ADHD, so an understanding of neurodiversity is essential. You may occasionally be required to drive my car, therefore a full clean driving licence is essential.Location: Diss, IP22Personal Specification: Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. Assessment of these, both on application and at the interview, will be the main factor in determining your success.Essential:× Professional, calm and patient.× Supportive, reliable and trustworthy.× Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive my car.Desirable:× Some experience of children with autism and ADHD.Summary Terms and Conditions× The rate of pay for this position is £12.89 per hour× Hours and times of work as follows: 5 hours per week, ideally worked over 2 days (days and times to be negotiated at interview).× The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.× Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.The post is subject to the following:× A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.× Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
