Are you passionate about early childhood education and committed to giving every child a voice? We are seeking an enthusiastic and reflective EYFS Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our youngest learners at a particularly exciting time in our school’s development.
While the current need is within EYFS, we are also looking for someone who is open to developing their role and supporting learning across the wider school in the future. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will form the building blocks for education at Newton Primary School, ensuring that every child thrives. You will work closely with pupils, families and the Early Years team to ensure all children have the very best start to their education.
We are looking for a skilled and caring practitioner with strong EYFS experience who understands the importance of high-quality interactions in supporting children’s development. The successful candidate will be someone who truly listens to children, values their perspectives, and helps create an environment where every child feels heard, respected, and confident to express themselves.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to nurture curiosity, independence, and a love of learning, supporting children both in adult-led and child-initiated activities.
We require you to:

-Build warm, trusting relationships with children
-Be a great team player with a positive, proactive approach
-Have high expectations for children’s learning, development, and behaviour
-Be an excellent Early Years practitioner with a strong record of achievement and succes
