Position linked to funding
Grade D, SCP 7-10 (£26,403 £27,694) salary will be prorated to reflect term time only.
Hours of Work: 32 hours per week, Term Time Only
Longdendale High School is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our supportive team.
The successful candidate will work with students within the classroom and in small group settings to support learning and help students overcome barriers to education.
This role will involve supporting students with a range of needs including those with special educational needs and disabilities. You will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo to help students access learning, build confidence, and engage positively with school life.
The role may involve supporting students on a one-to-one basis, working with small groups, and assisting within the Inclusion provision where required.
We are looking for someone who.
· Has experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
· Can build strong positive relationships with students.
· Is patient, empathetic and committed to supporting students with a range of needs?
· Can work effectively as part of a team.
· Has excellent communication and organisational skills?
· Experience of supporting students with SEND would be advantageous.
· All staff are expected to act as positive role models and support the values and ethos of the school.
· The role may also involve supporting students with additional needs, including aspects of personal care where required, with full training and support provided.
