Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This confidential vacancy is ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive and fast‑paced environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to support day‑to‑day accounting operations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month‑end processes, and ensuring the smooth running of core finance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
- Processing invoices, payments, and expense claims
- Maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting reconciliations
- Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory submissions
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders as required
- Providing general administrative and financial support to the wider team
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Studying towards AAT or similar qualification (preferred but not essential)
