Summary
A Vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The Specialty Doctor for West EIP Team will be committed to working with young people with mental ill health and neurodevelopmental conditions as well as provide a central role within an MDT context in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of patients and their families. The post holder will also contribute to providing psychiatric and medical risk management.
The West EIP Team forms part of the overall Community Mental Health provision in the city of Birmingham and works closely with other specialty teams, providers and services to deliver a high quality service.
The clinical base is The Finch Hub, 2 Finch Rd, Lozells, Birmingham B19 1HS
The post holder will provide direct psychiatric services through the clinical assessment, diagnosis and care plan, risk assessment and management plans, treatment formulation, prescribing and work with the team on implementing evidence based interventions.
You will hold a caseload of patients and review patients at a frequency according to their clinical need and risks, working alongsideConsultants and the multi-disciplinary team.
You will also participate informulating and implementing appropriate care plans around physical healthcare needs of service users and provide mental health assessments on both new referrals and open cases.
