Location: Leeds (min. 3 days in the office)
Salary: £70,000–£95,000 DOE
Take ownership of electrical cost management on some of the UK’s most complex healthcare projects — including hospitals, specialist treatment centres, labs, and research facilities. You’ll manage high-value, safety-critical electrical packages in live environments, shaping budgets, ensuring compliance, and delivering value beyond spreadsheets.
What You’ll Do
• Lead electrical cost management from feasibility to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, tenders, and procurement strategies.
• Manage valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts.
• Advise on value engineering, whole-life cost optimisation, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, clinical, and construction teams.
• Mentor junior cost managers.
• Interpret design changes — e.g., new MRI suites — and accurately forecast market costs.
• Experience in estimating or Quantity Surveying (pre-construction to handover).
• Hands-on electrical experience welcomed for cost planning accuracy.
• Track record delivering healthcare projects up to £20M.
• Knowledge of electrical systems in clinical environments: HV/LV, essential power, UPS, generators, life safety, BMS, nurse call, and medical systems.
• Confident liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants.
This role offers influence, visibility, and the chance to shape mission-critical healthcare infrastructure.
