Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Packing Operative to join our dispatch team. This role is responsible for accurately packing finished goods to a high standard, ensuring orders are prepared, checked, and dispatched efficiently. Previous experience in a packing or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Packing: Accurately pick and pack whistles and related products in line with order specifications and company standards.
Quality Checks: Inspect finished goods prior to packing to ensure they meet quality expectations and are free from defects.
Labelling & Documentation: Correctly label packages and complete all relevant dispatch documentation.
Presentation Standards: Ensure all packed goods reflect the premium quality of the ACME brand.
Stock Handling: Safely handle and move stock within the packing and dispatch area.
Dispatch Preparation: Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are securely packaged to prevent damage in transit.
Work Area Maintenance: Keep packing stations clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Team Support: Work collaboratively with production and warehouse teams to meet daily dispatch targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: Previous experience in a packing, warehouse, or dispatch role preferred.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when handling orders and checking products.
Organisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities efficiently.
Physical Ability: Comfortable with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and light manual handling.
Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
Communication: Basic communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly.
Teamwork: Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
