We're seeking a confident, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join a lovely Early Years setting in Bristol (BS3) as a Deputy Nursery Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Early Years experience who is ready to step into a leadership role, support daily operations, and help maintain a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment for young children. You'll work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and learning are consistently delivered.
As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you will:
- Support the Nursery Manager with day‑to‑day leadership and decision‑making
- Help oversee staff performance, wellbeing and professional development
- Maintain high standards across safeguarding, EYFS delivery and classroom practice
- Lead by example to create a positive, enriching and inclusive environment
- Build strong relationships with children, families and the wider team
- Assist with planning, assessments and quality assurance
- Ensure health & safety, ratios and compliance requirements are met
- Step up to manage the nursery in the Manager's absence
We are seeking someone who has:
- Previous experience in an Early Years leadership or senior practitioner role
- Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and team‑leadership skills
- A warm, confident and supportive approach with staff and families
- Commitment to maintaining a high‑quality learning environment
- Minimum of Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
- Passion for early childhood development and continuous improvement
