Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and highly regarded mainstream primary school in Warrington as they require a motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join their team due to additional funding being secured. This is a full-time temporary contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week and lasting until at least the end of the academic year.
You will be joining a dedicated and supportive EYFS team, working in collaboration with the class teacher to support the development of your new pupils. You will support a new pupil of the school on a 1:1 basis that is non-verbal and an individual EHCP.
Your new role
- 1:1 speech and language support including PECS and Makaton
- Learn through play to support fine motor skills and inclusion
- Supporting fine motor skills development
- Use learning journey to track pupil progress
- Supporting during break and lunch time
- Positive behaviour support
What you’ll need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Experience supporting SEN (non-verbal is advantageous)
- An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
