We are seeking a Fire Door Maintainer and Installer to join a new, growing mobile team within ISS, providing high-quality fire door surveys, remedial works and installations across our UK sites.​

This role will use a new digital inspection system that ISS has invested in, helping to ensure compliance, accuracy and excellent service delivery.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson with a strong carpentry/joinery background and proven experience working on fire doors (internal and external).​

You will work to the BM Trada Q-Mark standard, either as an experienced accreditation holder or with a commitment to completing the necessary training and qualifications provided.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out visual inspections and surveys on fire doors using the new ISS digital inspection system.

Complete remedial works on fire doors, including replacing doors, door sets, lippings, seals, painting and installing appropriate signage.

Take responsibility for Fire Door PPM, remedial repairs and installation works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes to exceed customer expectations.

Provide accurate remedial quotations in line with identified defects and required works.

Collaborate with other ISS teams across sites to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Occasionally assist with other carpentry/joinery works as instructed.

Ensure all fire doors operate to specified performance criteria and in accordance with current regulations and BM Trada requirements.

Complete all administration and record-keeping accurately and on time, ensuring all documents and reports are maintained and updated.

Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements, including risk assessments and COSHH.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

NVQ or City & Guilds in Joinery/Carpentry (or equivalent).

Proven experience working on fire doors (internal and external).

Good understanding of current fire door regulations and standards (ideally with BM Trada experience).

Background in carpentry/joinery with the ability to undertake a range of remedial and installation tasks.

Comfortable using digital systems for inspections, reporting and record-keeping.

Strong customer focus with the ability to represent ISS professionally on client sites.

Full UK driving licence (essential for this mobile regional role).
