Summary

Production Process Technician and Relief Material Requirement Plan (MRP) Controller / Production Planner - Rotherwas, Hereford.

Based at our Production Facility at Rotherwas, due to the continuing growth of the Manufacturing and Dispatch departments, an opportunity has arisen for a TECHTEST PRODUCTION PROCESS TECHNICIAN & RELIEF MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLAN (MRP) CONTROLLER/PRODUCTION PLANNER, to work in close association with the Process Department, in the generation and maintenance of all required processes and operational standards in Techtest, affiliated departments and additional required areas. To act as contingency (in the event of absence for the existing MRP Controller/Production Planner) to initiate and maintain the existing software based Techtest Production Material Requirement Plan inventory control system used to manage manufacturing processes, to ensure the Techtest Production Department meets delivery deadlines.
Requisite capabilities:

Although relevant experience would prove advantageous, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the generation and monitoring of Production processes and will be responsible for the daily operation of the Techtest manufacturing MRP system used to manufacture products utilised on airborne Search and Rescue equipment and ideally possess:
• Strong organisational skills and display a sound work ethic.
• A naturally enquiring mind.
• A manufacturing background is preferable but not essential.
• Good working knowledge and experience using material Requirement Planning (MRP) or Inventory Management experience.
• Proven analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong IT systems knowledge and skills, including advanced Excel skills.
• An electronics background is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings.

Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Collation of information for generation of monthly manufacturing activity analysis.
• Maintain the policy of continuous improvement in all aspects of Techtest Process.
• Monitoring of active processes to ensure compliance with all required standards.
• Production plan maintenance support.

• Hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour each day for lunch. No weekend, evening or bank holiday working.
