Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, efficient, organised and experienced Care Co-ordinator to join our rapidly expanding team at Beaumont Home Care.
If you are passionate about providing the best in community care, thrive on managing your rota's to an impeccable standard, take pride in building relationships with your care team to gain their commitment and reliability then this role is for you.
Due to the field based elements of the role you must be a driver with you own vehicle and be prepared to work on a rota basis between the hours of 7.00 am and 10.00 pm should the need arise, including weekend's on rotation. This will be compensated by either overtime payment of a day off in lieu.
Key Responsibilities
Organise and co-ordinate the weekly rota's
Ensure that the care team rota's are organised and sufficiently well planned taking into account travel time and areas
Plan and allocate care assignments to appropriate care team employees, with due regard for the particular needs of the individual and the skills and attributes of the employee
Handle rota planning, including sickness and emergency cover
Communicate with clients, families and care staff professionally
Ensure care plans are accurate and up to date
Deal with queries from clients and families in a calm, friendly and professional manner
Undertake on-call co-ordinating outside normal office hours as agreed
Ensure our care team are fully competent and adhere to the required quality standards
Undertake 'on-call' duties every other week
Be flexible and available to provide support as a carer if the need arises
Be responsible for managing all weekly rotas
Ensure that staffing levels are adequately maintained in line with client requirements
Responsible for sending monthly schedules to the care team
Responsible for sending client schedules on a weekly basis and to inform clients directly of any unavoidable changes that may be necessary
Management of PPE levels and distribution
Other administration duties may be required at times
To be a role model to the care team at all times
Our clients are based in and around Brentwood, Basildon, Billericay and Chelmsford as such you will need to be willing to travel to any of these locations as and when required
Person Specification
Previous experience of working in a similar role within domiciliary support services is essential
Understanding of the principals of outstanding care
Able to prioritise, particularly under pressure
Being organised is a must together with having a high level of attention to detail
Excellent IT skills
Being flexible, willing and able to work outside normal hours as and when required
Have or be working towards a level 3 QCF / NVQ
