We are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week - therefore, we require everyone to befully flexible across all shift patterns, including weekdays, weekends,nightsand bank holidays.


We are currently looking to recruit to inpatient wards at Bournemouth Hospital. These arepermanentpositions within the cancer care directorate

This role requires a care certificate

This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2. Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3.

As part of the interview process you will be asked to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment.

• Staff who provide basic care and support to patients in various settings
• Responsible for tasks such as hygiene, mobility, feeding, observations, and medication
• Involved in keeping the environment and equipment clean and safe
• Part of the wider healthcare team that includes nurses, doctors, and other professionals
• Taking patients observations such as blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturations and pulse.
• Helping patients with meal times and feeding.
