Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching your subject.

Detailed knowledge of current curriculum and pedagogical developments in the teaching of your subject and the wider curriculum.

Understanding of Exam Board specifications.

Hold a recognised degree (or equivalent) with a good classification in a relevant subject teaching qualification (QTS.)

Commitment to own self development

Recentexperience of leading and developing within a team.

Recent experience of leading and developing within a team.

Ability to teach your subject area up to Key Stage 4.

At Gloucester Academy, part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, we are seeking a passionate and proactive Head of Arts to join our team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in a supportive, forward-thinking environment where collaboration and purpose drive everything we do.

About the role:

The Head Of the Arts will play a key role in establishing a culture where creativity is celebrated and where students have access to a rich programme of curricular and extracurricular artistic opportunities.

You will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the school’s Arts provision, including Drama, Music and Art. The role is responsible for ensuring that the Arts are a vibrant, high-quality andvisible part of school life, delivering exceptional teaching, enrichment and performance opportunities forstudents.
