Abertillery Learning Community are looking for an organised, practical and enthusiastic DT/Food & Nutrition Technician to join our Upper School Campus. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, supporting pupils, and helping bring exciting practical projects to life. Our ideal candidate will have experience using materials, tools, machinery and kitchen equipment, and be comfortable organising, preparing, and maintaining a wide range of practical resources. A sound understanding of safe working practices, whether in kitchens or workshops, is essential, along with a willingness to undertake relevant Health & Safety training as required. The successful applicant will be able to follow instructions accurately, work independently, and manage their workload effectively. Ideally, they will also have experience working with young people. We are seeking someone who can act as a positive role model to learners, colleagues, and external stakeholders, and who brings a flexible approach to meet the demands of this challenging yet highly rewarding role.Abertillery Learning Community is based in the town of Abertillery. It is comprised of a Secondary Campus and 3 Primary Campuses: Six Bells Campus, Roseheyworth Rd Campus and Tillery St Campus. It is an exciting and unique organisation.
