Summary
Relationships - Internal The Operations Team Leader (NCAA) will work closely with the Head of Operations, Operations Manager, Education & Development Lead, Airdesk Team Leader, Crew Members, Pilots, Airdesk Staff and will also support interdepartmental relationships with the wider charity functions. The Operations Team Leader will act as a key liaison between operation staff and NCAA senior leadership, promoting clear communication,collaboration and culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement across the organisation. External The Operations Team Leader (NCAA) will work closely with Clinical Partner Teams (CPTs -NHS specialist transport teams), Patients / Relatives, Hospital Staff, Ambulance Crews, Helipad Staff, Airport Staff, and visitors to NCAA bases. The Operational Team Leader will represent the charity in a professional and credible manner, promoting strong partnership working, safeguarding the organisations reputation, and ensuring operational excellence across all external interactions. Key Responsibilities Leadership Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the NCAA Air Bases, to support responsive mobilisation of NCAA aircrafts and crew, whilst promoting continuous improvement Provide effective, positive leadership and support to the NCAA Crew Members Facilitate regular team meetings, scenario training and embedding a culture of continual improvement Compliance Carry out regular audits of air bases and aircraft (IPC, Health & Safety, etc) Embed standardisation across the team and air bases, whilst supporting staff with any new procedures and changes Review incident reports relating to NCAA tasks or Crew Members, carry out reviews, feedback and learning Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators within the service to ensure they are met, whilst providing feedback on breaches Crew Member Provide operational cover for NCAA Crew Member shifts when required at NCAA Bases General Arrange servicing for medical and non-medical devices, in addition to any unscheduled maintenance to ensure equipment is readily available Work closely with the Facilities Team to ensure the air bases are maintained to a high standard, scheduling any maintenance as required Work closely with the Facilities Team to ensure the air bases are maintained to a high standard, scheduling any maintenance as required Engage and work cohesively with NCAA Pilots to enhance service delivery PR/Media & Fundraising Actively promote the work of NCAA when hosting base visits and any appropriate opportunities Participate in the charities fundraising activities To support raising awareness of NCAA on a national basis Please note applications made only via our website directly will be considered for this position.
