3‑Month Temporary Assignment
A busy and well‑respected school in Newcastle is seeking a Temporary School Caretaker to join their team on a 30‑hour‑per‑week basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands‑on individual who takes pride in ensuring a safe, clean, and well‑maintained school environment.
The role is due to start immediately and will run for approximately three months.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general site maintenance, repairs, and upkeep
- Open and secure the school premises, including setting alarms
- Conduct regular health & safety checks and ensure compliance
- Assist with cleaning duties as required
- Manage deliveries, move furniture, and support with school events
- Respond promptly to any maintenance or site issues that arise
Requirements
- Previous caretaking or maintenance experience (school experience desirable)
- Practical, hands‑on approach with good problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to start ASAP
