About the RoleMitie is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and proactive Security Relief Controller to join one of our most prestigious contracts in Central London. This role is central to the effective coordination of our operational security teams and requires a highly organised individual with exceptional communication and decision‑making skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Handling routine incoming calls from controllers, employees, and client stakeholders
-Dispatching security officers via telephone and coordinating ad‑hoc operational requirements
-Maintaining accurate records of communications, incidents, and events
-Escalating complaints, critical issues, and unusual events promptly to Regional Security Managers and the Account Manager
-Responding to incidents and operational needs, ensuring all reactive requirements are met efficiently
Skills and AttributesThe successful candidate will demonstrate:
-Strong business awareness
-Excellent verbal communication skills
-Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
-Self‑motivation with the ability to work with minimal supervision
-Effective teamwork capabilities
-Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
-Calm, logical thinking under pressure
-Confident decision‑making in both routine and crisis situations
-Ability to handle highly confidential information responsibly
-Strong communication skills across all leadership levels
-Competent report-writing skills
Desirable Experience and Qualifications
-High proficiency in English (speaking, listening, reading, and writing)
-Previous experience leading a team (preferred)
-Prior control room experience (essential)
