We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Afternoon Cleaner to join our team in the Scunthorpe area. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards during the afternoon hours. Working times are :
Monday to Friday 14:30-17:00
12.5 Hours per week
Duties
Clean and sanitise designated areas, including offices, corridors, restrooms, and communal spaces
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning materials as needed
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks efficiently
Qualifications
Previous experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact with team members
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during scheduled shifts
Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for visitors and staff
