Summary
Our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team works with women who have severe or complex mental health conditions and who are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, or have a child under one year old. We provide high quality, evidence-based specialist advice, assessment and interventions. We are now offering an opportunity to support this vital work. Two part time posts (21 hours per week) are available.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual. The Band 3 Administrator role is based at Union House, 37 Union Lane, Chesterton, Cambridge, CB4 1PR, within the Community & Primary Care Admin Hub. The post holder will provide a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to support the team and its clinical operations.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to prioritise a varied workload, and proactive in resolving problems and queries through to completion. The post-holder will be calm, patient, and demonstrate an excellent telephone manner, with the ability to manage sometimes complex or sensitive issues. Strong IT skills and experience working in a busy office environment are essential.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong team ethic, a sense of accountability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. This post is suited to professionals who can contribute positively to the team and demonstrate the right attributes to enhance service delivery.

1. Produce high-quality word-processed correspondence, reports, and summaries required by the team.
2. Undertake diary management for clinicians and/or managers as required.
3. Organise clinics and coordinate all associated appointments, using appropriate brought-forward systems to manage workload effectively.
4. Provide operational support to colleagues and supervise Band 2 administrative staff when required, as directed by the Line Manager.
5. Input and update service-user information and activity on computerised systems, ensuring accurate creation and maintenance of service-user notes in accordance with policy.
6. Maintain up-to-date filing systems—both electronic and paper—ensuring notes are tracked, received, and stored in line with Trust procedures.
7. Deliver excellent customer service by providing a professional and effective telephone service, taking accurate messages, and offering appropriate information and signposting.
8. Support the training and induction of new staff as directed by the Line Manager and/or other managers.
9. Provide cover for other members of the admin team during periods of absence and assist with their workload as required, undertaking any reasonable duties commensurate with the role.
10.Monitor and maintain stock levels of stationery and other resources, acting as an authorised requisitioner to ensure timely replenishment
